The forest is a lovely place to walk. Here Birgit and I are deciding how much wood to steal for her stove :-).

This stump gives you some idea how old the forest is.
We’ve hardly had a Summer and now the signs of Autumn are here! There are a couple of places in the village with this lovely maple. I just drink in that glorious expanse of red.
PS A kindly friend tells me that this is in fact virginia creeper not maple. Still a glorious colour though 8-).
Suspended on a thread from a spider’s web, this leaf seems to hang alone in the air, dancing on the breeze.
How often the things that support us are delicate and invisble.
