Now…I’d hate you to think that I spent all my leisure time in Public Houses…
It’s full of railway memorabilia, and has a great atmosphere. I’m told that it has great beer too, but I stuck to Fentimans
Lunch with my lovely boys, fantastic.
I know that I’ve blogged about this before, but I love Huddersfield Library. It’s a beautiful Art Deco building, that badly needs some TLC.
Now I DO like a friendly pub with a good pint. As we were in Huddersfield this weekend, we popped into‘ The Star Inn’
, which we’d read good things about.
It’s a great place with good beer (see above), plenty to read (including CELEB mags)…
…and a hound. I’m not sure about the diamante collar though!
Huddersfield Giants 16 – Warrington Wolves (aka Dirty Wire) 25.
The Boy was not impressed.
A little helping hand for Holly, from Lin.
Like many divas, Tinkerbell (previously known as Snowdrop, Odette, Amanda and Sarah), did not appreciate the attentions of the press.
However, she agreed to pose for a few photos…
…agreed to be interviewed…
…and even became quite playful!
Spotted this in Hoults’ window (if you’re ever in Huddersfield, a great independent wine merchant) – it must be hotting up if you can make red wine in Wakefield! 🙂
It’s my mother-in-law Lin’s birthday tomorrow. She doesn’t like having her photo taken, so these ones, taken at Holly’s 5th birthday party, are quite rare.
I love this one of Katie and Lin – mother and daughter.
Adam’s Grandma has fallen and broken a hip – RUNNING AFTER AN ICE-CREAM VAN!
Poor Betty, she had to wait two hours for an ambulance. But I hope that I have her lust for life when/if I’m in my 80s!
