Farmoor Sky in March

I was most taken by the sky.

The afternoon was very blowy…
…and the clouds were racing across the sky…
…leaving the odd hole.

Uncle John and Mary’s Visit

My Uncle John and ‘Almost Aunt’ Mary came over for a visit on Thursday. The only other time Mary had been to Oxford, was to have her tonsils out at the JR! She is a very keen choral singer, and was blown away by the current exhibition at the Bod. My Uncle was a physics teacher, so we had a brief mince round the telescope exhibition at The Museum of the History of Science too.

In the afternoon, we went up to Farmoor Reservoir for a rather breezy walk.
Uncle John and Mary are very keen bird watchers – as you can see!
I was more interested in looking at the lichen….
