France 2009 – The Journey Home

Also taking the ferry from Le Havre…(when pronounced in French it sounds rather like a gargle crossed with a death rattle)

…were a number of classic cars…

End of an Era

I’ve made the decision – I’m going to sell my tuba. I haven’t really played on a regular basis since I left school (which was a LONG time ago) and it’s worth a chunk of change. ££££ that I can use to buy a sports car.

I feel a bit strange about it, as playing was my entire social life during my teenage years, plus my dear Father paid for the brute in the first place (brass banding is a family tradition). However, I’m a big girl now and Eynsham Choral is meeting my musical needs. Plus, my bro sold his instrument to fund a motor bike trip across Australia, so there is a precedent.
